glorious day!

North Korea has agreed to close one of its undoubtedly many plutonium factories, the sun is shining, so get out there and have fun.

If you live anywhere near Garrettsville, or just like a good outdoor party, head to the Garrettsville Summerfest today and tomorrow along Silver Creek downtown. There will be games, food, traditional carnival fun and a Garrettsville Idol finals for top singers, among tons of other entertainment. Check out www.garrettsvillesummerfest.com for details and hours.

Prepare your ears for the Lakewood Hometown Band Sunday at 7 p.m. in the bandshell at Lakewood Park, as part of the city's summer concerts in the park fun.

Love a good deal, and willing to take the time to look for it? The annual Walton Hills garage sale willbe today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 17833 Sagamore Road (off Northfield Road or Ohio 8) directly across from Northfield race track.

And finally, today is the Great American Backyard Campout, so get the tent out of the garage for a little airing before the big Sleepout tonight. This is your chance to take a few hours with your kids in the outdoors, with flashlights, stories, bird calls -- maybe even a campfire and some marshmallows. Go to www.backyardcampout.org for more ideas.
